Our lessons

All piano classes are individually customized to help students become well-rounded musicians. Classes will include topics including note reading, music theory and interpretation, piano playing techniques and performance skills etc.

The finest and quickest method of learning is to have fun while doing it!
Our aim is that students enjoy the piano classes and becoming motivated enthusiastic about fascinating tutorials on music theory and performance.

It is also an option for students of comparable ages to pair up and learn together.
Every semester, our Academy provides performance opportunities to celebrate the success of our students!

What will i learn?

The learning progress is ensured by combining:

  • finger power practices
  • performance pieces
  • music theory including:
    • rhythm
    • scales
    • chords
  • learning playing techniques
  • music history
  • musical interpretation.

It is also an option for students of comparable ages to pair up and learn together.

Every semester, our Academy provides performance opportunities to celebrate the success of our students!

What skills will i learn?

By developing effective independent study habits like taking notes, analysing and interpreting music from different styles and genres and by learning to translate knowledge from theory into practice by showing it on the piano, learning may become more focused and fun at the same time.

The learning pace is always controlled by the students! The teacher will try to encourage and accommodate the student’s individual personality.

Scientific studies have shown that music instruction helps accelerate brain development in young children, particularly in the areas of the brain that are responsible for processing sound, language development, speech perception and reading skills. Musical training appears to strengthen children’s brain, decision making abilities and ability to focus attention and inhibit impulses. Multiple studies link music study to academic achievement

How long is one piano class?

The piano lessons are one-on-one sessions lasting around 60 minutes each. One lesson every week is normal but extra lessons can be added if necessary. Usually, the piano lessons will be planned outside of the traditional school schedule.

The piano student must either own or have access to a piano in order to get the optimum results, which come from daily exercises in addition to the weekly piano lessons.

How often should i practise at home?

Our recommendation is that a little bit of practice each and every day is far preferable to intensive practice on only a few days a week.

As a parent, you may find inspiration about how to encourage and support your child with piano practice on our online blog. LINK

When can i start learning to play the piano?

We recommend that youngsters begin to take piano classes between the ages of 6 and 8. Younger children may also begin if discussed with the teacher.

Each student is given a unique plan that includes pratising strategies that take into consideration their capabilities, personalities, needs and wishes.

How can parents help the piano student?

To best help the children’s growth and develop in piano skills, we encourage and expect the student to take time to practice on a regular basis.

It is important that parents are interested in the child’s development and are willing to communicate and cooperate with the piano academy. Parents play a very important role and  children need their support and encouragement.
